Flanvention II ??

Kaynara's blog got me to thinking...

I'm going to my first convention - Flan II in December in LA. (Thanks for convincing me, LeiaSky! )

I'm psyched to be going, but I'm not sure what to expect. I didn't get tickets to the banquet, but I'm going to the cocktail party and getting pictures with Nathan and Adam. *sigh*

So - to ramp up the anticipation - who else is going and what's it gonna be like????

I don't know how hard it may be to find them, but I posted daily reports from last year's Flanvention here on FFF.net. Maybe googling this site would turn them up. That will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect (though undoubtedly things will be a little different this year as the organizers tweak things).

You can also check out the forum at www.boosterevents.com, where the shiny folks at BE are ever-present to handle your questions.

In any case, see you at Flan II, where you'll make about a dozen new friends instantly -- even if you're a mean old man like me.

I'm goin' to Flan II as well. Unfortunately, I didn't go to the first one because I wasn't a Browncoat yet. But I have only heard GREAT things about it. It's going to be a jam packed weekend, and we'll have tons of fun! So be excited!

I got into FFF just as people were getting ready to go to Flan I, and the stories seemed so fun...

Anyone want to tell me what the cocktail thing is like? Is it big and crowded?

I'll be at FlanII too, I missed last year's and I've been kicking myself ever since (don't worry, I won't show you guys the bruises)

I hope we can all meet up for a breakfast or something during the convention (I'm going down Thursday so I'd love to meet for Thursday dinner or Friday breakfast with anyone who'll be around), I'd love to get to know some of my fellow fffers

I did sign for the banquet, but no pictures (I couldn't decide between all the people available, and it does run into serious money...)

will you be wearing any constumes?

Good idea! We should totally have an FFF gathering! I get in kind of late Thursday, but we'll work something out...

This will be my first convention, too. I got a weekend pass and cocktail party ticket, but no photo ops, at least not so far.

I'd love to get a banquet ticket, so if anybody knows of one floating around (yea, right), I'll take it off their hands!
