Well, I'm sure the 500+ reviews on Amazon.com has helped. Is there anything else on Amazon.com that has 500+ reviews and still rates a full five stars? I'm hard pressed to find one.

Joss, keep fighting. We are a hundred perent behind you. Give us a movie so we can break box office history and get our show back on the air. And thank you for bringing this great story to us. It beats any reality show as the characters in Firefly are mor real than any people that a network puts on a reality show.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Joss isn't gonna give up on Firefly. He can't. We won't either, gorramit. Firefly is just too precious and necessary.

If the Movie doesn't work out, will you post the Movie script up somewhere for us to read?

Knock on wood, gorammit, knock on ruttin' wood!

I'm not superstitious, but on the off chance there is some good luck to be had, we deserve a bit of it.

I will probably be repeating what has been said a thousand times over, but I love Joss Whedon's Firefly and would be euphoric if it was allowed to continue. It's shiny to see the creator of our beloved show posting here, even if the news he had about his struggles worried me.

But since he does read these forums and they are a comfort to him I wanted to post my praise for the show as well. I had pretty much abandoned television until my mom introduced me to Firefly. After years of Friends, Malcom in the Middle, Surivivor, and countless other jejune series like them I had decided I would rather get a root canal than sit and watch tv in the evening. This show had me tuning in religiously to catch the latest adventures of Serenity and her crew. The characters were compelling and dynamic and the actors that played them were wonderful. In the short time the series was on they had managed to create a world I felt was completely realistic and immersed. It has also been a long time that I have seen a show intertwine comedy and drama so well.

This show is one of my favorites and I was heartbroken when it was cancelled. I was also quite surprised because of the quality and popularity of the show. If there is any way to keep Serenity flying I will put my full support behind it. Thank you for a show that has brought me many hours of enjoyment. I hope to see Firefly on the big screen soon.

It's not so much that Joss needs to get Haken's attention. Joss should just be able to pick up the Red Phone and say something and then his words are instantly posted on Fireflyfans.net.

To: The Boss Browncoat {AKA Joss}:

The next time you despair of the battle, remember that it has taken you only eleven broadcast epiosdes and a DVD release to get to the point of negotiations for a possible movie.

It took Gene Roddenbery three times longer to reach a similar benchmark, and he had three seasons worth of re-runs in every major market in North America to back his posse up.

The reason he succeeded is that he had a quality item, of a kind no one else could quite duplicate. You've got the same. And you're reaping the same kind of response, in a tightly compressed timeframe. No wonder you're feeling stressed.

And -- One of the things that got Roddenberry through it all was was the spirit of the fans. So...

To: The Browncoat Brigade (AKA all the rest of us.)

Take it as a compliment when I say the spirit I find prevading Firefly fandom reminds me (to the point of deja vu) of Star Trek fandom in the early seventies. And if Joss feels a bit more fit for fighting the good fight because he knows we're out there -- well, that's part of the magic too.

Fireflygasms:

Mal: "Oh, I'm a bad man."

Mal: "Let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid."

Zoe: "I need this man to tear all my clothes off."
Wash: "Work, work, work..."

River: "Also, I can kill you with my brain."

Folksinger: "--Jayne, the man they call Jayne!"
Simon: "No, this is what it feels like to go mad."

Major Fireflygasm: The entire gag reel, including the easter egg.

To Joss:

Buck up Browncoat! We're doing the impossible, that makes us mighty!

Here, give me your pack. SaintJayne! Carry his rifle.

You know the old saying. When you can't run, you crawl, well, you know the rest. We've got a lot of strong backs and eager volunteers to carry you.

Keep flying. We'll keep watching.

The more I get to know people the more I like my dogs.
