Oh, and I have always let future SOs find out for themselves. I have witnessed well meaning folk tell new SOs of ex's something only to be rebuffed in a superior "well that was probably your fault anyway" tone. It's best to let them find out for themselves...

I have only ever warned someone off one of my exes once, and that was because he had a foul temper and hit me. He only did that once mind you, since I immediatly hit him back and then broke up with him.
The girl in question said I must have provoked him. I could have argued further I suppose but I figured she wouldn't listen. They weren't together very long, though I never asked why. Once he's an ex he's in the past, unless you stay friends which I have manged to do with two of my exes.

Well, if I felt like giving him an excuse (which I don't) I could say that school is getting set to start. But really, how long does it take? Five minutes?
