Hi NVGhostrider!
Here my comments to your comments!

Though we may seem concrete, our bodies are a mere accumulation of energies.
Hmmm - probably. But try to live on pure energy for a while ...

Quote:
As for the meaning of abstract, let me claify. I meant abstract thinking, not neccessarily abstract being. People of faith may consider their deity to be concrete with their abstract thinking. Ultimately it is blasphemy to consider God as concrete, flesh, tangible.
OK, different meaning of concrete here. Love and hate are rather concrete, but they are not tangible. "Concrete" for me stands for "real", in contrast to "abstract" - "mere thinking"
Quote:
Man can only liken himself to the IMAGE of god. If we wish to touch ourselves, we cannot hope to do so by touching a mirror image or a picture of ourselves.
Agreed. But if we assume, god exists, hen HE is the reality, not we. We are mere figures in his story (that's a thought thatgives ma a shiver, sometimes). He has created us - not the other way around (if it's something we created, it cannot be God - by definition)
Quote:
But we can feel the feelings we had in the picture or sense the feelings we have in the mirror. Sometimes it just takes a moment to look at ourselves to truly understand. We touch the abstract part of ourselves in an abstract way.
Sorry, you lost me here ...

And what you say is very true. There has to be some affirmation of a deity for most men to believe. Even my culture has "concrete" affirmations of the works of God, (mostly animals sent to show man when they cannot understand what "God" is saying).

Whe're you're from?Quote:
It is the arguing that shows the lack of faith humans really have. There should be no need to defend whatever god you believe in. Just like guts, faith is enough.
Yes, but as with Firefly: if you love something, you just wanna talk aout it (and being a believer for me means, that you are in love ...)
Curious for your answers - and for anyones opinion, who want to participate ...

Thanks FMF, but I can't take credit. Our friend PaganPaul did the work on it.

Sorry, missunderstood the concept. Thought, troll country would be for the ones not fitting anywhere else ... don't know how to move it, now.

You are not a troll. If you want to talk about something not FF related - go to Talk Story.
Troll country is for those that contribute nothing and behave in a trollish manner
