New here. Why did it take me this long?!

Hey everyone, if I'm not supposed to post this here, I apologize. But anyway, Hi:) I'm sorry to say I am a *NEW* fan of Firefly. Not sorry that I am a fan, but sorry I didn't know about it sooner! I think I was *way* too in to Alias when it came out lol.

Jewel Staite has been one of my fave actresses since I first saw her back in the day on "Flash Forward" - I had forgotten she was in Firefly, so without knowing a thing about it, I went to Best Buy and bought the DVD series for 50 bucks lol. Best purchase I have ever made. I am completely obsessive. I go around talking about it and getting other people hooked on it lol. My fave episode is probably "The Message" - and the commentary on it is absolutely hilarious.

So about me - my name is Daphne (you can call me that or Daf, Daffo, whatever) I'm 18 and I live in Northern California. I'm a film major, and transferring to UCLA after a semester or two living at home. My other vices (for TV at least) are Alias, ER, Cold Case, I'm with Her, and Threat Matrix. ER is more personal for me, because last March I interned on the set for a week and a half for my senior project. It was amazing.

Okay, now that I have rambled on for decades, I'll take up no more of your time. I hope to stick around for a long while.

It always seems FOX cancells the best shows. Firefly, Girls Club...it makes me mad.

I'll be back soon.

Welcome to the boards, Daf! Good work with spreading the word about Firefly -- keep it up! We need to set the stage for a very successful movie to have any chance of bringing Firefly back!

i've been going to this site every morning when i'm doing nothing at school for the past month now, but never got the BOOYA to latch on.

Thanks for the welcome! lol I seriously tell *everyone* I went to one of my best friend's houses today (She lives about 4 houses down) and I made her start to watch the pilot with me before we went out, and she sooo got hooked lol. Her parents are all into the space stuff (her mom watches the Sci-Fi channel all the time lol) and as they kept walking by, they would stop, and now we're going to have marathons so they can see the whole series lol.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'm feeling right at home, and FINALLY have people to spaz with over this show. I try describing it to my friends and they just get so lost lol.
