I vote no ponytail... but I think we need a lot more Mal pictures before we can decide for sure.

I agree. We need to study this issue more thoroughly. More pics of Mal is the only way to be sure.

Definitely the scarf. I noticed it when I viewed my DVDs the first time and had to back it up. All of the Independents seem to wear that long scarf. In the shot you mention it is his scarf you are seeing.
