Good shall rule over this thread and we shall call it this thread.
There is some serious weirdness afoot in some other un-named threads. Lets fill this one with shiny-happy-goodness while being our "true selves". I actually have no ideas for discussion, so I'll just pull a random:

Whenever I'm having a bad day, I pop Firefly in. The second I see our lovely Serenity, I smile and feel like I'm "home".

(Also, Thanks Traveler and Tristan for the kind words, and not calling me an idiot.)

I declare this thread the thread of hopelessness. This is a thread that spawns sorrow and and pain. This is a thread that makes the saints want to vomit.

They call me the lonely, angry one.

Ranting on this board is the only way I can feel powerful.

Now you got it. Sometimes we have to fight the good fight. You have won. This is your victory.
Be good to others and you will find good people.

I am 54 years old I have seen a lot so take my word. The people here are the best. You talk to he ones you like. As time goes by you will learn who you enjoy being with.

Your response tells you will make friends.
Don't be afraid to ask any questions. We talk about episodes, characters, plots. We even have threads that are just for fun.

Onthedrift, i feel the same way...unfortunately, my brother is currently in possession of my Firefly DVD's (I'm trying to convert him...hey, it could happen!). As sad as it may sound, my desktop is Mal, and I have the theme .mp3 on the computer wheneevr I need a lift. That, and this site helps...lots of shiny browncoats to chat with and make you feel at home!

You can only talk so much about a show that had only 14 episodes. That is if you're someone who lacks true imagination, like me.

Remember you can go any where you like.
One person is not the ruler of this site.
If you have to move. Move.

This not how we play here.

Thanks guys! Luckily converting my siblings and father was extremely sucessful, they have their own DVDs.

And another random bit of shiny:

I'm sure this has been linked already, but in case you missed it: a webcomic (I know nothing about the webcomic itself) pays homage to Firefly. His comparison to Shakespeare below is heartwarming to me. After all Quality, not quantity.

Thanks Traveler, no worries. I've had plenty of good experiences on fffnet before. Just dropped in tonight due to some wicked insomnia, so I figure everything will be better after some sleep.

I'm a lousy saleman myself. So I don't any converts. Have loaned out my DVD's though and got a good response. Just didn't them into fandom.

Alas, my own conversions are not going so well...the wife introduced me. She's a fan of Buffy and Angel, and had a passing interest in Firefly, but, in her own words, I have "outgeeked" her... As for my brother, he borrowed the DVD's because I kept talking about it...he liked it, but I am pretty sure he won't become a hardcore Browncoat. That has not stopped me, though...I may end up just going door-to-door in the neighborhood!

Thanks for the link...I'll have to check out the whole thing. Now, I must go to bed. Thank you for the chat, and rest assured, it's not always like this in here!
