Firefly commercials on Universal HD

When I was watching Universal HD yesterday, I saw (twice) a commercial for upcoming movies and TV series coming soon. Firefly was shown under the upcoming TV series portion.

So, at the very least, you can watch Firefly in HD. At the very most, maybe someone is testing the water for a comeback. FYI.

It does, make you wonder doesn't it. Are the money men actually starting to realise they have a marketable product on their hands.

I have converted many to the verse, not that it takes much to convert people once they are aware of what is actually on in front of them. I always like the look on their faces when I ask for the box set back, but thats the sadistic side of me coming out. It also says a lot about the power of good writing and extremely good acting, once your hooked give in and just go with the flow. It goes back to the no power in the verse can stop me quote all to often.

Oh well my hopes are raised again, but they always have been.

It's the "Universal High Definition" television channel. It's only offered in HD, not SD. They mostly show old shows in HD such as Knight Rider, Quantum Leap, etc. and current repeats of the best show on TV Battlestar Galactica in glorious HD. I wish comcast offered this channel to me. :(

I think we all have a bit of the sadist in us, that's why I own 2 copies of the box set and 2 copies of the BDM. That way I can wait a while before I ask for them back. Then they are really hooked and go out and buy them for themselves.

P.S. I sure hope this is more than just a rumor.

The series and movie do seem to be getting a fair bit of exposure lately, we have the HD Firefly showing, the recent SciFi US marathon, the upcoming SciFi UK showing and HBO debuting Serenity on top of the continuing sales of the DVDs and the Donetheimpossible DVD release - sounds like a good time to hit the company websites of the TV companies and their advertisers.
