Life Onboard Serenity: Why Cant Things Just Go Right?

Ertia woke up again, and found Pain sitting beside her. The infirmary was silent except for the steady beep of the monitor that Mal was attached to and the rolling snore of the still recovering Mac.
"Heya, babe." She squeezed Pain's hand gently, "You been here the whole time?"
"Mostly. How do you feel?"
"Groggy. Little dizzy. I think I'm hungry." Her gaze drifted back to Mal. He looked pale and still, "Mal?"
"He lost alot of blood." Simon's voice was calm and collected, "Anyone else would be dead. But he's.."
Simon hesitated, then sighed, "The Captain isn't anyone else."
"Gorram right." Mal's voice was weak, but his eyes fluttered open. "Y'all talkin' about me behind my back?"
Ertia and Pain exchange grins, "Not exactly, sir."
"Good. That's...reall..good." Mal started to drift off again, leaving his crew gazing at him in amusement.
"Do I smell cooking?" Ertia asked, sniffing the air.
"Choo was fixin' something up. Wanna go see?" Pain offered his arm.
"I certainly do!" She stood up none-to-steadily, and Simon called after her.
"If you have any dizziness or nausea, I want you back here STAT."
"Yessir." Ertia saluted as she and Pain made their way to the galley. "Heya, Choo. Smells mighty ... decent."

Still Flyin. 
"Thank You. Just needed to spice it up a bit with a few extras" Choo said lifting the lid to show the others. "...sorry that was the rice...here. Protein in white sauce with stuff thats supposed to be vegtables...looks done."
Pain walked over to the comm. "Come and get it if your hungry."
Slowly everyone came through (except the badly injured ones, wolf and 62). Zoe was trying to keep Wash from falling over. Or doing something stupid.
As everyone took there places, the table seemed empty without someone sitting at the head.
"Mind if i say grace?" asked the shepard.
"grace." muttered Jayne in between mouthfulls
ignoring him zoe said "only if you say it out loud. Been a long day."
so is 62 is a Big Damn Evil or not?
and wolf, if you want grub, just ask...

Hey what do you know my computer actually let me on. I'll be computerless for a few days starting tomorrow as my cousin is coming down to pick it up and fix it at his place. I won't have it back til Saturday evening at the latest. Just thought I'd let y'all know.

62 is a good guy, just a little bit weird.
*wolf smelled food, and realized that his stomach felt like it was going to eat itself, but then he remembered he would have to face the crew, he went to his storage space and took ut a few fruity oaty bars he had, then he went down to the cargo bay to look for his arm.*

62 injured our cat, and tranqed Wash and myself, rather brutally I might add. He's an evil trolly, and I don't why we've kept him on the ship this long! As soon as Ertia's feelin better, she's goin' Undead Monkey shooting again.
If this was really Serenity, Mal would have already spaced 62 and Wolf and probably 13.
Ertia actually found the food quite palatable. "Not bad at all. Thanks for cookin', Choo. I'm not sure any of us were up for it."
Zo glanced around the table, "I don't think we should hang out here too long. As soon as this meals over, we should lock up and fly. What Wolf said may be right. There may be others looking for us who won't be so easy to escape."
"Agreed." Ertia winced as her nod causes her head to throb. "We'll get the supplies stowed, dump that bastard Wolf and send him back to Niska empty-handed, and we can get out of here!"

"What about 62?" asked Jayne. "Seen that little runt crawling around alot. Makes me uneasy...and he properly knows too much..."
"Duck Tape." said River quietly.
Zoe turned to the Doc. "Whats the captains status? We might need an extra gun hand when wolfs friends come coming."
Simon tried to look as positive as possible, but after a long hard, sleepless day, it was hard. "Lets just say he won't be holding a gun for another fornight or so. Possibly more. Not sure about walking yet.."
"Captains got through worse," said Zoe instantly. "Also need a place to lay low for a while. Some where...quiet. So if you know anyone who owes a big favour, call 'em. Now."
there was a small, awkward pause.
"Lets get to work people." ordered Zoe....

Ertia frowns, thinking of 3DP, and shakes her head, "I'm all out of favors, Zoe. By now, most everyone will know I was responsible for killin' Three's men."
"Call the Sanchez brothers on Whitefall? They've sheltered us 'afore." Jayne suggests, "And they've usually got enough spare guns around to hold off trouble."

What about Patience? I suspect she won't take it too kindly that we'd be landin' on her moon again. You know what with Mal shootin' her horse and all.
