That whole end scene from "War Stories".
"Take me sir, take me hard." It had my wife & I on the floor laughing.
Also the "special hell" bit from "Our Mrs. Reynolds"
"We will rise again!"

The end of "Out of Gas" Where the used space ship salesman is talking to Mal, and Mal ain't listening to a single word he says. Nor looking at the ship he's selling. Just staring off across the lot at Serenity.
"Wash, where is my damn spaceship?"

There are a ton of them. Here are a few, in no particular order:
- Bushwacked when the body hits the cockpit glass. That caused me to jump in my chair.
- Serenity when Mal walks into the cargo bay, draws, shoots Dobson in the head, holsters his gun & keeps walking. I laughed so hard I thought I was going to fall out of my chair.
- Our Mrs Reynolds when Book gives the "special Hell" speech.
- War Stories when Mal gets loose, jams the torture device into the flunky's back, then punches Niska and asks if he wants to "meet the real me".
"May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one."

In Serenity when Wash says, "Here's something you can't do." then slams that lever, pulls the crazy Ivan and fries the Reavers with the blowback.

For me, the moment that Firefly went from just a great TV show to the best TV show ever is the one captured in my avatar/tagline. "No power in the 'verse can stop me."
Going back to the series premiere, while I was watching The Train Job, I have to admit I almost didn't give Firefly a 2nd chance until the end, when 1) Mal kicked the guy into the engine, and 2) the exchange between Mal and the sheriff, when Mal says "I don't believe he does." Those two scenes sold the series for me.
Of course, there are many, many others, but the ones I mentioned were the ones most influential to me.

The response to this thread just proves how GREAT this show is!
So many Fireflygasm moments ... for me, there are maybe a dozen of 'em in each episode. Janyne or Wash is usually the culprits ... but everybody else has many of theirs as well.
ANOTHER FAVORITE
In "TRASH" when Jayne is on the exam table with the cervical collar on ... the speech Simon gives was one of the best monologues in the series - for me. Looks like it is going in one direction, then you learn the depth of Simon's honor and Dedication to the philisophy of his craft.
And Jayne's "spine?!" bits ... waaay too funny ... all the way to Jayne's "anybody there?" and when River reveals that it is her, Jaynes strains out "Anybody else"
The final bit and perfect coda to that scene - River "I can kill you with my brain ... and Jayne's look of fear was bee-u-t-ful.
Have fun... next fun thread we need to start ... Firefly 'In-Jokes' ... find all the referances to other shows or movies and posting yer fav's.

There are too many to choose from, but I've narrowed it down to my top 3 (hopefully I wont remember any I like better than this after I post). In no particular order:
1) The moment in Bushwacked when Mal turns and sees River looking up, then it panns up to the bodies.
2) The second time Book says "The Special Hell" with just his head around the corner.
3) 8 words: No power in the 'verse can stop me.

I'm going to go with Out Of Gas and Mal suggesting to Wash to divert more power from one technical thing to another, and then Wash, still kinda stubborn about it but already realizing Mal is right, goes, "Well, I'll go and do that then!"
Too funny.

Also, in "Our Mrs. Reynolds," at the end, when Mal "figures out" why Inara fell down when she found him. "You did kiss her!"

First one to mind:
"Jayne. This is something the captain needs to do for himself."
"No! No it's not!"
Cliche-busting is always the most satisfying when it's a cliche you're personally sick to death of...
