This might be old news, but Serenity is being shown on Cinemax starting tonight (7/30) at 8PM EDT.

Normally all Cinemax does is offer old movies HBO has shown. So did Serenity only get handed down to Cinemax and not even offered on HBO? That's a bummer if that's what happened, come to think of it I never saw it offered on HBO.

On a side note, Serenity looks very shiny in it's glorious HD. I've recorded it to my DVR and don't have the plan to take it off anytime soon. The more I watch it (I do own it on DVD, I just tend to watch movies on cable more), the more I appreciate it. Joss did a great job with the budget he had to work with.

Wow, if it hit HBO first, then I REALLY missed the boat. I'm watching it On Demand. Several times a day.

I'll have to wait until it is on regular cable TV,
was it USA that bought the rights to that premier?

What I need to do is buy the DVD.

Did they add extra/deleted scenes and do like Jackson did with his movies and place the cut scenes back into the movie?

T~

yes there are deleted scenes...BUT
no, Joss wasn't interested in an 'extended' version,
he felt that the movie in the theaters WAS the director's cut.

But there are a lot of fun extras, and a great commentary... you do need to own the DVD!
