River,
Mannix was cool - but even cooler - he had the same house as the Brady Bunch!
I remember getting my Bobby Sherman lunchbox for 1st grade. What makes me feel old is that no one remembers Bobby Sherman.

If I come out, does FMF promise not to hit me?
I do, on occasion, feel old (yes, I know I'm only twenty). It usually happens when I think of the younger celebrities that are currently popular. Hillary Duff? Lindsay Lohan? Rihanna? All younger than me. When I think about the fact that they're all busy being big stars and I'm sitting here working a desk job, it not only makes me feel old, but is also a little depressing. But then again, I don't think I'd enjoy the celebrity life. Getting chased by paparazzi? Where does that get fun?

Well what makes me feel old today was putting my mother in a nursing home.

Two of the women I worked with came over to my house after the day was over to have a beer. As I was sitting on the couch with them, it suddenly occured to me that if I added their ages together, I was STILL older than them.
***depression sets in***

I'll make you feel younger. My sister had the world's biggest crush on Bobby Sherman. She also had that record album of his (with the green cover) and he was the reason she watched 'Here Comes the Brides." And who remembers that that show also had David Soul who went on to play Hutch of 'Starsky and Hutch?'
Man, so many things listed make me feel old. Right now, it's the Rice Krispies noises my knees make.
Watched Mannix. Preferred Hawaii 5-O. I also remember Dark Shadows being on, and the big thrill? Going to our neighbor's hose so we could watch it in color!
And for the record...I lived in suburbia, SE Mich, and wore hip-hugger bellbottoms when I was in grade school, and it wasn't considered whorish; it was just the style of the times like the grunge look was later.
Who remembers tube tops and how much they didn't stay up if you were above a 'b' cup?

Oh how I miss watching girls in tube tops! Especially the terrycloth ones. Just something about them that made me... well, you get the picture.
For the record, I visited the Smithsonian last month and was wandering around their "History of Computers" exhibit. Along with a big old main-frame computer, they had a huge deck of punched cards and a textbook on FORTRAN on diplay.
Yep, it was the same textbook I used in college.
