Actually, I'm really liking the Pirate Prom idea. Of course, not everybody has to be a pirate to raid Buffy Prom with us. A nice sea of cunning orange hats would be fun, too!

Lazy? Me? No...just 20-something days left and a lot to do...trying not to add too many projects. I'm going to need my fingers and some of my sanity to enjoy the D*C experience.

pirates have always been my fav baseball team (first professional sports team i was a fan of). Of course...I don't care for baseball much, lol
Also, I've had to wear an eyepatch for real on far too many occasions (oh! and one of my grandpas has a glass eye, lol). We just have no luck with the eyes.
Pirate costume is all I got...I really wanted some other costumes, but the cash flow just isn't what I need it to be for such things :(

Yes - thanks, fireflygal. We just got the reservations the other day. We're going to be about 14 miles away, but with a limited budget, the need for a kitchenette, and a car (we're driving down from Louisville to get Apryl's gallery showings set up), we can be a bit further out. It would have been nice to be at or closer to the venue...but 'tai not happening.
Now the panic is - crap, what do we wear for the Prom-thingie and do we have enough time to pull it together? Apryl's the costume-whiz, but she's got enough stuff to take care of; and neither of the rest of us are any good with costuming. I may take the easy way out and bring one of my nice dresses and some costume jewelry.
I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone!!
