On 2006-07-23 only 3 flans showed up, and the vshin was a wash.
I instead listened to Junger's The perfect storm commentary (much better than Petersen's). This movie felt more Firefly to me than Serenity (BDM) did. No James Bondish silliness - just folk on a boat trying to survive, and getting their asses kicked going up against an impossible to survive wave.

I was gonna post asking if there was any interest in organizing a group farther west (18:00GMT = 03:00 my time), but I figured that a new thread would be the best place to put it.
BTW, this is something really small but the AOL AIM client for OSX was not really worth using last time I tried it. It looks and behaves like the AIM Express client. IMHO, you are better off using iChat (apple's IM client) or the OSX port of gaim, Adium ( http://www.adiumx.com/). Lots of customization options and it has a bunch of OSX-like eye-candy goodness

goat, Magdalene from Australia also wanted to organize an earlier vshin, see if she's still interested. You could maybe use the same room, and vshin a couple of hours before we do ours. Be sure to post how it went in this here thread.

It's funny. I had been a part of these back when I was stationed in Germany, but stopped when I came stateside, then I joined this forum a few weeks ago. Just tonight I was talking to a co-worker about the group I used to do that with and I never knew it was you guys here. ImJacksNickname was the one that always invited me to them. My handle here is the same as my AIM screen name.
