Vanilla syrup? I haven't ever heard of that. Strawberry ice cream is great, but pinapple is not my favorite mix-in. Alone it's okay--especially if it's grilled. I would give it a try, though. It sounds interesting and quite refreshing.

The best ice cream I EVER had was in Paris. My dad and I found this fantastic little hole-in-the-wall gelateria. My favorite combination was godiva dark chocolate and raspberry. Together it was heaven in a sugar cone.

There's a great place here called Neilsen's Frozen Custard. That is pretty good stuff, too. It's extremely smooth and the flavor is VERY rich--something, I'm sure, to do with the eggs.

There was a sale on Ben and Jerry's ice cream at the grocery store last week, and my MOM--not me--gave into temptation and bought, like, seven or eight of those little containers and shared them with the entire family. Wow, that was awesome! She's such a sweet mom.

Wacky fun!

fear not the dwindled supply, there's a shop a block away from the hotel. Maybe I could pick up a blender...
Not you ladies have me wanting a milkshake...

mmmm....frozen custard....

And gelatos!

I miss Ritas. Anyone ever been in the greater Philly area and had Ritas? You can get water ice, which is NOT that nasty shaved ice stuff, it's much better. And you can get frozen custard, which is richer and creamier and more fattening than ice cream. And you can mix the two together in lovely swirly layers and have a gelato. My favourites were chocolate custard and strawberry water ice or vanilla custard with mango.

I miss Ritas.

Yes, you were there. We stopped by the place after our Browncoat dinner, after the ren faire. Of course it was fairly warm, and it melted a bit before we got back to Ash's. And there was much drinking.

oh yeah!

The reason I don't remember that is that I barely ate any and then I put it in the freezer and forgot about it.

It was very good though, what little I ate.

And then instead of taking my yummy broccolied pasta home, I accidentally took Ash's "2 dolla shrimp" and fed it to my grandfather.
