What song reminds you of Mal?

Stranger by Billy Joel reminds me of Mal. Mostly because he sort of shields his feelings from the rest of the crew. Along the same lines, She's Got a Way reminds me of Inara, and Billy the Kid reminds me of Jayne, both also by Billy Joel. (I'm a fan if that was unclear
)
Stranger
Well we all have a face
That we hide away forever
And we take them out and
Show ourselves
When everyone has gone
Some are satin some are steel
Some are silk and some are leather
They're the faces of the stranger
But we love to try them on
Well we all fall in love
But we disregard the danger
Though we share so many secrets
There are some we never tell
Why were you so surprised
That you never saw the stranger
Did you ever let your lover see
The stranger in yourself?
Don't be afraid to try again
Everyone goes south
Every now and then
You've done it, why can't
Someone else?
You should know by now
You've been there yourself
Once I used to believe
I was such a great romancer
Then I came home to a woman
That I could not recognize
When I pressed her for a reason
She refused to even answer
It was then I felt the stranger
Kick me right between the eyes
Well we all fall in love
But we disregard the danger
Though we share so many secrets
There are some we never tell
Why were you so surprised
That you never saw the stranger
Did you ever let your lover see
The stranger in yourself?
Don't be afraid to try again
Everyone goes south
Every now and then
You've done it why can't
Someone else?
You should know by now
You've been there yourself
You may never understand
How the stranger is inspired
But he isn't always evil
And he is not always wrong
Though you drown in good intentions
You will never quench the fire
You'll give in to your desire
When the stranger comes along.

Behind Blue Eyes by the Who. I'm obsessed with this song and Mal. I even made a vid of it.
Check it out.

Op: You're fighting a war you've already lost.
Mal: Yeah, well I'm known for that.

I said it before I'll say it again, Six Feet From the Edge by Creed.
It's about Mal and his faith, his loss of it, and the hell of a life he has to lead out on the edge of space.
Please come now
I think I'm falling
Holding on to all I think is safe
It seems I've found the road to nowhere
And I'm trying to escape
I yelled back when i heard thunder
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it let me say
Let me say...
CHORUS
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge
And I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down
I'm looking down
Now that it's over
Reflecting on all of my mistakes
I thought I found the road to somewhere
Somewhere in His grace
I cried out
Heaven save me
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it let me say
Let me say...
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge
And I'm thinkin
Maybe six feet ain't so far down
(repeat chorus)
I'm so far down
Sad eyes follow me
But I still belive there's something left for me
So please come stay with me
Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me
For you and me
For you and me
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge
And I'm thinking
Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge
And I'm thinking
Maybe six feet ain't so far down....
(repeat chorus)
Please come now
I think I'm falling
Holding on to all I think is safe...
And the last bit clearly covers Mal and Inarah and how much he needs her to keep himself from that edge.
If I'm a bitch, then life just got interesting

Music inspired by Firefly and Serenity
This is definitely Mal's song.
On the Drift

On the Drift (Hazlerig): an original song based on the episode "Out of Gas."
I also think of this as a Mal song.
SAIL THE SKY
Quote:
Sail the Sky (Klassen): an anthem expressing what the characters may have felt at the end of the movie; sent to us by a fellow Browncoat.
This is Wash's song

Shadow Captain, CSN
Oh, captain what are we hiding from?
You've been hiding from the start
Did some lover steal your heart
Or did the full moon make you mad?
Oh, captain why these speechless seas
That never come to land?
Oh, I need to understand
Could a little light be that bad?
I can see your hands are roughened
By the wheel and the rope
I'd like to look to you for hope
I think it's hiding there

Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive"
Its all the same, only the names will change
Everyday it seems were wasting away
Another place where the faces are so cold
Id drive all night just to get back home
Chorus:
Im a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
Im wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
Sometimes I sleep, sometimes its not for days
And the people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink
And times when youre all alone all you do is think
Chorus
I walk these streets, a loaded six string on my back
I play for keeps, cause I might not make it back
I been everywhere, still Im standing tall
Ive seen a million faces an Ive rocked them all
Im a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
Im wanted dead or alive
Im a cowboy, I got the night on my side
Im wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
