Don't let it bug you PR. There are people out there that vote for the person regardless of how good or bad their art is. Sounds like the case for that website.
I posted a bunch of stuff to the "other" browncoat site while it was up for contests and such, and while I thought what I did was good, and got good response here, it never amounted to anything there.
Trust in your own talent and the input from trusted friends, and keep at it. Judging art is way too objective.
