ADAM BALDWIN’S AUTOGRAPHED FIREFLY SHOOTING SCRIPTS TO BE AUCTIONED FOR CHARITY!

This summer you’ll have the chance to own one or more of Adam Baldwin’s personal, original "Firefly" shooting scripts, autographed by cast and crew. Can you imagine owning one of these extremely rare, one of a kind items?

The 14 scripts have been generously donated by Adam Baldwin and will be auctioned individually on eBay by the California Browncoats on his behalf. All proceeds (minus eBay/Paypal fees) will be donated to Mr. Baldwin’s choice of charity: the Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation ( www.mclef.org) , rated 4-stars by Charity Navigator. MC-LEF's major focus is providing college scholarships to the surviving children of fallen Marines, Federal law enforcement officers, and certain other servicemen and women.

Adam sent us a quote as to why he chose this particular charity to receive the benefit of his script auctions. Here is a portion of what he said:

Quote:

"Your generous donations to this noble cause will help ensure that the children of our fallen heroes are given the opportunity to continue towards the dreams they and their families envision. Their future is our Posterity.

Thank you for your kind attention and generous support."

Please see his full statement at http://www.californiabrowncoats.org/CABC/adam.htm

At http://www.californiabrowncoats.org/CABC/script.htm you will find pictures of the scripts, details of autographs on each script (they vary slightly), and direct links to the eBay listings.

This is your chance to own a special part of Firefly/Serenity history and the money goes to folk doin' good works!

Wow, that's incredible! Way to go, Adam "Jayne" Baldwin! I hope the auctions raise a lot of money for his cause.

I was bowled over at his generosity, and I hope we raise lots of money for his charity of choice. Can't let down our lovable mercenary

Absolutely! He's being incredibly generous by doing this. I can't say I'd have it in me to do the same, seeing as I tend to be overly sentimental & packratty. (That's not a word, I know; and it wasn't even as cool as Alan Tudyk's "gunbattley" in the "War Stories" commentary! Oh, well. It gets the point across.) I'd probably want to keep those scripts and be too attached to part with them. It's really sweet of him to sell them for charity.

Three cheers for Adam!!

I would go for the Jaynestown script...but the thought of getting it, looking at it, and then proceeding to drool all over it urges me not to. Of course I would love to own it, but I would rather not ruin such a wonderful piece of our 'verse's history.

Wow sometimes I really wish I was loaded. These would be so shiny to own. I'm amazed Adam can stand to part with these. He's a greater man than I.

Adam once again shows how great of a person he is by doing this. I wish I could afford to get one of these and help the cause.

Why not bid at the level you are comfortable with and see what happens?

Auction aside, if you'd like to make a donation to MC-LEF, you can go to http://www.californiabrowncoats.org/CABC/faq.htm and click on the "Make a Donation" button. This will go through the California Browncoats who can track donations and keep Adam Baldwin posted. You may also donate directly of course at MCLEF.org

Thanks!
