Well, my answer. Here it is:

The signal is sent, and it takes virtually all of the energy of the station. Then, it finishes. Mal comes up the elevator thing, it probably runs on batteries in case of emergencies, or maybe the signal is already finished. Then, the computers around the facility reboot, takes some time. The elevator is probably mechanical so it might not be wired into the system, or if it is, it may simply have come up first. Anyway, Mal gets out, and the system finishes rebooting, and everything goes to a default state. Since Kaylee probably didn't rig the doors or maybe she just did something with the software or something, everything opens, the doors, everything. So the door opens up do to a system reboot caused by a power drain from broadwaving the signal. The Alliance likes blowing things up and also can't get in do to the giant crate in front of the door, so they destroy the wall. How's that?

Sorry if it's been brought up before (this solution). I think it's the most fitting that i've heard so far.

Not bad. I still prefer the idea that the door was rigged to open after the elevator arrives because Mr. Universe is a lazy bastard who doesn't want to have to push a button to open the door when he's coming out from the elevator.

All those if's, probably's, or's, etc in that paragraph kind of lets me know how shaky your conjecture is. Plus that crate wasn't there anymore, the Reavers moved it (you remember when Zoe got melee attacked, right?).

It was all done for drama, it's that simple.

I really don't understand why people can't leave a plot hole alone. Every movie has them and this is one of them in the BDM. Big deal.

Basically, nothing is perfect and the BDM is no exception.

Oh, come on, people, it's so obvious.

Those were Reaver-sensing doors. As soon as River took out the last one, they opened. Simple!

Maybe you can answer another question for me since this issue appears to be closed. Who was is that closed the door? No, not in the BDM, but in Ariel.

When Simon, River, and Jayne are being chased by the Hands of Blue guys there is a door which is opened by both parties but wasn't closed in between. Help me out guys.
