I felt it needed a counter point.

I would say:

Superman
X-Men
Spiderman
The Punisher
and Batman Begins

Now, though I agree that Keaton will always be Batman in my mind, Bale did a fantastic job filling the role, and in my opinion, did a much better job at portraying Bruce Wayne then Keaton did. What else you all got?

Hmm...like I noted in the crap superhero movie thread...I have basically enjoyed every hero movie I've seen for one reason or another;)

Still...I would drop the following:

1. Batman Begins - just seemed to do the character up right, without the camp that Schumacher and the 60s series had or the horror elements Burton injected into his films

2. The Punisher (Thomas Jane version) - only one I have seen in entirety, but definitely a whole lot more faithful to the comics in the nature of Frank Castle, his vendetta and the tone of the film than the Dolph Lundgren one

3. Spiderman 1 & 2 - Raimi's got the touch really...both films definitely give science geeks hope

4. X-Men 1 & 2 - Singer's not perfect, but he really f-ing understands the allegories used in the Marvel verse by these characters.

5. V for Vendetta - Not your average superhero film, cuz there's not really a "hero" till the very end of the film, and then you got hundreds of them

Batman Begins blew all other Batman movies out of the water. Few few fans of the comics had some minor issues with X-men, but I thought overall they were very good. Ditto on Spiderman. But Batman Returns was the *clears throat for comic-book guy impression* best super hero movie ever. Likewise Bale was the best Batman ever and Caine was the best Alfred ever and...
Oh, you get the point.

I thought i was the only person on the face of the earth who even remotly liked the Punisher movie.
It was like a throwback to good 80's action.
That bit with the knife was frikin' awesome.
Course there was a lot to dislike about it and nearly everything that was any good in it was lifted from Ennis's current run.

And howzabout ... dun dun dun dun dun... FLASH!

Let's all face it. It would be real difficult to bring certain superheroes to the screen from comic book form. Example: Thor. Try bringing him and his story to the screen. They would have to make so many changes to make it work that in the end, it wouldn’t even begin to resemble the comic character that it started out as.

The Flash. I heard that they made a Flash movie, but I didn’t even have to see it to know that it would flop, and the same with Captain America. Pulling off a good movie with this character would be difficult, and then forgettable.

Fantastic Four. They did a good job with the THING, Sue Storms, and Dr. Doom characters, but the rest of the characters were fillers and the story was weak. Yes, I know they were basing the story from the original story of FF back in 1962 with a few changes added, but in it didn't work very well.

Blade. Blade was a superhero character that was brought from the comic book world and done right in the movies. I would have to say that I liked the movie version better than the comic version of the character.

I'm a little worried, and in this Wonder Woman comes to mind. No one has ever been able to capture the essence of Wonder Woman. Not even the people who invented her back in the 40s. I like the idea of Wonder Woman, but it is a movie that would be hard to do, but the plus side is that no ones been able to totally capture who she really is as a person and a heroine, so there are a lot of empty holes to fill in, and it's that filling in part that would make or break any WW film made.

I noticed that Joss seems to like female characters. Matter of fact it is clear that Joss is invested in female hero-types, so if anyone could manage to make Wonder Woman work, I think Joss's our man....Go Joss!

I don't recall a movie, but there was a Flash TV series in the 90s, with John Wesley Shipp as the speedster. Quite good, even if it was the Barry Allen version (I'm more a Wally West fan).
