I've been looking for a place to order, purchase, or import some, with no luck. If anyone knows a place, I'd be real grateful... Maybe even grateful enough to share a glass or two!

Thanks y'all.

IMDB says that there are some places in the SF area that serve that drink.

That's probably not gonna help you, but that's all I know!

Thanks for the intel, Silence... It won't be easy, since I'm in central Illinois, but I may be able to find someone out there willing to ship.

Thanks for your input.

I plan to hit our little Chinatown area this weekend and try my luck. Not much of a town but it is about 20 Asian grocers in a 2 mile area.

Where's home for you?

Definately no China-town here!

Columbia, SC.

It is primarily a Korean and Philipino area of town but the stores do cater to the Chinese that are here as well.

I called around and tracked it down at one liquor store across town. I plan on swinging by there tomorrow to pick some up :)

So how do you pronounce it? I had to spell it out on the phone.

I found this from Fireflywiki...

Herb gatherers in the northern part of China usually use gang liu pi (belongs to the Sclepiadaceae family) as "northern wu jia pi." Most herb stores use northern wu jia pi in making wu jia pi wine. According to research of Zhao Zi Huang, long term use of wu jia pi wine causes death. Toxic reactions of wu jia pi wine made from northern wu jia pi include blindness, numbness in limbs, dizziness, and headache; long term use may cause death.

No dice on the Ng Ka Py

I did pick up some Cabo Wabo to make the Blue Sun Tequila bottle and Maker's Mark to do the 'Earth That Was' whisky.
