It can also haul cargo containers ... just no pics of them on my comp yet.

Containers? Like a standard Conex as seen sitting around the docks in TTJ?

BTW. Note to Astriana: Act IV is getting kind of hefty and slow to load. Act V coming up soon?

Had something differant in mind, but the DF Cargo containers could hold the conex ones, I think.

I need to get the dimensions of the Firefly (190' long dinna Joss say?) and do my calculations.

I'll put up a pic of 'em, if I can find it.

EDIT
No such luck ... well I will now cease and disist my hijack of the OCC.

GEEZER-If you have some story ideas in mind, I'd be happy to do a run-through. I think you did a good job on the backstory. Are you drawing on a particular source for inspiration for your character? I don't know if Mal's going to harbor animosity towards Thorne or perhaps they'll strike up a rapport right away.

Humble:

Both rapport and animosity between Mal and Thorne as things unfold. Not sure how it'll resolve. I'll put my scenario down and drop you an email so you can slice&dice as needed.

Huh. Still no avatar change from Haken. I hope he's just busy, and not ignoring my request!

You know we love you, Hak.

It took him a couple of days to get to mine. Are you using that Kaylee avatar with the strawberry? Those new avatars are da bian-hua!

First impression: Wow.

Afterthoughts: (You did want criticism, right?) I would suggest placing the higher engine near the back. When travelling over a planet's surface, all engines would have to tilt 45 degrees to accelerate at 1G (1G push forward, 1G push against gravity) and the higher engine's exhaust would strike the lower engine, reducing the overall acceleration.

Of course, in this situation they could act independantly - the rear engine pointed straight back and the front engine straight down.

It looks like a dragonfly with the extra engines.

Thanks! I love doing artistic stuff, but am don't 'feel' like an artist, I am an engineer at heart!!!

I could NOT resist giving Boomer the "Strawberry Orgasm" screen-cap as her Avatar ... I sat down and framed it until I got the look I liked and s-capped it.

Actually, in 'real-life" I am a AF ex-Avionics Tech.

I have the fwd engine set so a 'power boost' could be done by directing both engines 45 degrees (up or down)and the fore/dorsal engines exuast (mixed correctly by the pilot) feeds the aft/ventral engine ... it think it is called hot fuel packing or somesuch. End result: Zoooooom!

Yoiu catch the 4 shuttles and the "Starship Trooper" esque retrevial ship planted on the nose?

Heh, wait till you see the aft towed {collapsable) cargo containers ... makes you think even More of a Dragonfly.

Oh, and she has guns ... ever hear of Metal Storm, it is a real munitions system ... so it seems ...

here take a peek ...

Well, you do think of everything, don't you CapnRahn? Smarts, that's what you got.

I did not notice the extra shuttles, I assumed it was an extended bridge (for God knows what reason, I didn't even know it had guns until you told me).

Waiting to see the cargo containers.
