Understood, I'm not looking to cheat anyone either but the powers that be don't see it that way. We just need to stay under the radar, somewhat. The folks at the fan table are great for sending Broncoats your way (thanks guys).

Thank you for the advice! Business cards are a great idea...never thought of that.
I also want to make sure the folks at the table understand the appreciation via donations, etc. For without them, there wouldn't be much chance to sell stuff, eh?

You make these buckles? and they are authentic looking to the Mal coat?
Well, I met a woman at the ren faire, got most of my pirate gear from her. Seems she's a Browncoat too, and was Making browncoats. good ones. but didn't have the buckles quite right. She was planning to have a table at D*C, you might think on meeting with her. maybe work out a partnership. Though I don't currently have her info in front of me. Cedric (Bedlam Bards) pointed me in her direction, he may be able to help you find her.

JadeHand, not sure I would lump them up there with "Official Replica"-type, but I think they are fairly accurate. The first ones I made for my jacket have a dark-metal latch, but I am working on some now with a brass-colored latch that would probably be closer to the original.
I don't want to take up room in here, but I'll PM you the link to my photobucket, and you can take a look and let me know what you think.

Well, i have a Hat!

a pirate hat. It was sitting under my nose the whole time - a black felt wide brimmed hat. I unpicked the white stitching, pinned the sides up and voila! a perfect pirate hat.
