Ermm

Am totally new to this thing they call the net, not sure what Im doing and youll all probably think I know totally nothing - and youd be correct.

I am a new Firefly and Serenity fan, having only recently discovered them, and becoming very addidcted, very fast. I was, probably incorrectly, under the impression that Serenity was to be the first in a trilogy???

Am I totally off my rocker?

Welcome, New Browncoat!!

How did you find out about Firefly/Serenity?

All the actors have signed contracts to
make two sequels. Joss and the actors have said they want to make another Serenity movie.

Universal has to make a decision on whether to make a sequel or not. If Universal says NO, Joss can shop around.

Also keep in mind that Universal owns the SciFi Channel.

Well my cat started dying, and we were told to feed her baby food since she was having trouble with normal food. Then she got worse and was having trouble with all food, so we drained her, but on the day she was drained she went in a sudden decline so that the vet was afraid if he put her under for the operation she'd never wake up.

When she came back she had almost no control over her body, she was like the mostly dead Westly in The Princess Bride, she did have a little head jiggle but it didn't seem to make her happy.

I slept beside her on the couch that night and when I woke up she was dead. I burried her with the rasberries.

We were not planning on getting a new cat.

Three days ago we had my sister bring the babyfood to someone who has a baby (seemed like the logical thing to do) that woman also had a kitten she wanted to get rid of, the only one in the litter without a home (two seperate people had tried to take her but both wound up moving into places where they couldn't have a cat.)

So now I have a cat again, I have a 33 ounce kitten that's scaring a 100lb dog. When I told a vet about that he imediately asked, "Is it a female calico," which it is. Apparently they're well known for their bitchiness.

So that's what I've been doing, I stopped coming to the forum because I had a dying cat and devoted jsut about all my time to her, I stayed off because I was getting bugged by the whole, "Not believing in god is the same as believing there is no god," argument even though it wasn't even current and didn't want to get into it, or drag anyone else into it, again but knew I'd do it if I came back to the place where all of the people who were saying it reside (that being here.)

Today I broke down and started a whole thread on the topic in hopes of getting it out of my system.

So there's an update, totally off topic, but I figured someone might be interested in what's been going on.

Chris, I'm so sorry about your cat.

I have a friend at work who just got a female calico and she named it Zoe! (She's not a Browncoat--the friend, that is, I don't know about the cat--which made it seem more amazing to me.)

I am in the middle of watching it fot the 5th time. Got the series of Firelfy for Christmas and have just watched all 14 eps over for the second time. I am totally impressed, love the ship, the crew and pretty much everything about it.

So..theres no particular timeframe for another movie?

The movie came out late last year here, but we always seem to be behind on most things. Firefly never even screened on TV in Perth, hence me not knowing about it.

Christthecynic -- I'm sorry to hear about your cat. :(

Sephrina It sounds like you're in the right place! As for being new to the 'net, even... it can be a wonderful place. I've made great friends online that I never would otherwise have met in person and I am so grateful for that. Plus, where else can you find so many Firefly/Serenity/(insert anything you like, here) fans?? Not easy to do in the "real world". I hope you like it here.
