The only real challenge I see there is to be able to be online at the same time as the people you're doing the scene with ~ which is something we haven't quite mastered yet. Might require making "dates" to be online with the folks you intend to interact with, but it could be done.

Excellent idea here, esp. for me since I can't use IM or chat at work. Highspeed cable arrived just in time to let me keep multiple windouws open.
May I be the first to beg a little plotpoint support? When Mal, Zoe, et al get to the bar tell the bartender who you're looking for, and when he points to the disreputable heap on the floor ask him if he's Thorne.

By the way, could I ask a silly question? I still don't have a lot of the Chinese phrases memorized yet, and it takes a good long while to look up the scripts to get the translations. (Zoe doesn't speak a whole lotta Chinese in general, apparently - I checked.) When the characters start "spewing" Chinese, could we post the translations in brackets <>? I know I'd appreciate it, and those that don't have access to the Pinyinary might, too.
Thanks bunches!

You just saved me the trouble of asking if it would be too distracting to add translations. Being an Asian character, I figured Chinese would come as easily to Rowan as swearing in Arabic does for me. I think to keep the story flow, I'll add translations in brackets <> at the bottom of my posts. That kosher with ya'll?
I can send you a list, Astriana. I keep it on hand at home for fanfic.

Yeah, I like both those ideas, Channain and CapnRahn. Translations at the bottom of the page would be good, and if they need to be PG'd, I can add some kind of disclaimer in the leader post about adult or semi-adult content.

Got it to work for me ...
It requires a space tween the symbol and translation ... it SHOULD appear betewwn the plus signs...
no spaces +
spaces + < Monkey Butt > +
I'll try this or the editorial brackets { } not to be confused with the reg. brackets. ][ (backwards so you can see 'em)
