Hey all! Channain had a lovely idea, so I'm putting it into action. This thread is where we're gonna put our OOC commentary for the "Badger's Betrayal" role play in the Firefly Universe. (Also known as "Adventures in Gunrunning" ~ maybe we'll pick a title before we're done!
)
To get to the in-character RP thread:

LOL! I just realized something really cool! This is like our own version of an episode with cast commentary (like on the DVDs). That is shiny, spiffy, and cool! Yay! *happy dance*

Okay we can give this a try, but I reserve the opinion that there are times when a strategically placed OOC in the roleplay thread itself can actually be beneficial. I can't come up with an example off the top of my head, but I also don't want to see either of these threads deteriorate into an argument where someone chooses to be a little OOCly in the actual roleplay thread. What if someone who's playing chooses not to peruse both of these threads equally? Or they usually do but that one time it actually matters they neglect coming in here and don't see some message that they shoulda seen?

Excellant idea!
Welcome to the 'real' Green Room?
So, I'll post here what I JUST posted on the 'Stage' thread ...
OOC
Heh heh, meebe we should have a "mission clock" with each post ...
IE:
SIMON'S MOVE
LOCATION : INFIRMARY 2023hrs
Book and Simon torture Niska with clog dancing music played on a kazoo.
JAYNE'S MOVE
LOCATION : INARA'S SHUTTLE 2021hrs
Inara moans softly in her sleep, startling Jayne as he ransacks her stash of classy porn.
Notice that Jaynes move is 2 minutes BEFORE Simon's move, even though Simon 'posted' first ...
Might help with the confusion ... sorry about the military time usage - habit!

Agreed, how about a OCC 'note' thus:
OCC: Kaylee
meaning there is a specfic OCC in the Green Room/OCC thread for the person playing Kaylee. A OCC GENERAL, would be for well general stuff. I think you get the idea.
OR an 'actor' could cut-n-paste the link to the OCC as thus :
http://fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=17&t=3384
In order to signal there is a OCC they posted ...
And of course, a combo of both ideas.
OCC: Avatar Help!

I would say comments on background work directly oriented for the story itself can stay in the "stage" post. Asking things like the locations of characters, letting everyone know the players have to fall down in bed and such can also stay there.
Topics like the recent conversation on my avatar changing to Jeannete Lee to better depict Rowan can be posted here.

Hey, I AM playing Simon after all ...
and we have YET had the opportunity to 'act' in the same scene.
I have to go now and practice putting my foot in my mouth in order to be able to correctly play Simon when he talks with Kaylee!
