At first I was sooo upset about the prospect of lecturing to a post-lunch class full of summer schoolers with the A-Team in my head.
Then lo and behold I click on the video and there he is: Bad Attitude himself.
I think that is the best thing on the internet right now.

I think its a fantastic scene in an excellent episode but I can't help but imagine seeing Mal walk in to the cargo bay with a huge cigar saying "I love it when a plan comes together" whenever I watch it!
That's one of the great things about Firefly. One episode it's the "A Team" the next it's "The Thomas Crowne Afair" then we get a little "Dirty Dozen" going on or maybe a bit of "Pride and Prejudice". Toss in some snark and a really cool use of language and you have Firefly. And it works because our BDHs are such deep characters that you believe they can get up to all of those different kinds of stories.

I think it was at least two days, actually, maybe two and a half. Simon has two costume changes for a total of three outfits in the spliced-together "coarse acting" medicine tutorial scene. Admittedly the first is the one he's wearing at the start of the episode, but if you factor in the fact that he is wearing a fourth when he delightedly inspects the finished product, that's two days clear between the start and the end of the process.
Still... very A-team, for definite.

Oh. My. God. That was truly terrible. I'm going back to the top of th thread to reread it all, as I need to dislodge the "Mother, there is no other" from my brain.
Any suggestions on how I can remove the image of "Mr T in shorts" from the inside of my eyelids?

He does smoke a cigar in the movie, with Book. He's also a master of disguise, just like Hannibal.

Oh, yeah! I forgot! I think I remember Jayne with a cigar at one point, but totally forgot about that scene with Mal and Book!
Mal makes a prettier girl than Hannibal ever could! LOL

Go back to Youtube and type "Firefly Bloopers" into the search bar, if that doesn't do it then your screwed.

Well, given the old opening monologues from Firefly, both from Book and Mal, imagine for a moment the guy who did the opening A-Team monologue.
"Six years ago a crack commando sergeant fought a war for independence he couldn't win. This man promptly purchased a Firefly-class transport vessel and gathered around himself a crew of misfits, mercenaries, and fugitives. Today, still pursued by the Allied government, they survive as smugglers and soldiers of fortune. If you've got a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire . . . Serenity."
