Smiling heartedly as the 'INCOMING WAVE' signal bleeped on the screen, 13 rapped his fingers against the keyboard.

His smile dropped as the screen went black, and rose to leave as a voice, modified to a dull computer monotone, rang through the speaker.

"Relax, 13. Have to stay dark. Security."

Dropping back into his seat, 13 rubs at his forehead in exhaustion.

"Hello, Calisto."

"Back at you, 13. How're things? Still crewing with High Charity?" The voice was electronic, but her sarcastic voice somehow made its way through.

"You know where I am. This wave has sigs all over it."

He could almost hear her smile, past the blank screen.

"Yes. Serenity, if the read-out covered the numbers well. I haven't heard from you in almost three years, which leads me to believe you're in some kind of trouble. Knowing you, that's either Alliance or the underworld."

"Alliance. They finally caught up with me, when I was at Londinium. I'll give you the details when you get here."

"Oh, we're already coming, baby. Get your pilot to meet with us at the nearest fueling station."

"What're you taking?" 13 asks, hands folded. Calisto had enough people on her side, God knows.

"I'm on the Adele right now, four more practically beside me. We're all coming, kid; got the feeling you're gonna need it. Tell you what: I'll wave a few of my ships based out on the Border, raise some hell. That oughta keep the Alliance occupied enough so they aren't running at you full-bore."

"Thanks, Calisto. I owe you one."

"You'll owe me a bit more than that after this business is done with."

Sighing as he terminated the wave, 13 made his way to the galley to tell the good news.

John slowly climbed out of the crate he managed to smuggle on while Wolf 13 and 62 got back on board. He stood and looked around empty. He needed to find them fast. Funny how two of the best friends he'd ever made were on this ship. He wouldn't be suprised if River had gone kooky she was stuck in that place too long before that brother of hers could get her out. She probably wouldn't recognize him being they'd never actually met in person. But of course... his thoughts were cut off by the gun shot behind him. he turned and saw someone he never met.

*Pain and the others heard the gun shot echo through the ship. Pain had gotten up, unholstered his pistol, and was about to go check it out, when Jayne walked into the galley with a unfamiliar man at gunpoint. Jayne said as Mal stood up*

Looky what I found in the cargo bay.

*Pain spoke up*

Jayne how many times do we have to tell you to stop bringin' strange men onboard?

*Jayne sneered at Pain as Mal replied*

*The two mercenaries holstered their weapons as Mal looked at the stowaway and said*

She ran forward and hugged him

Mal look turned to one of puzzlement. "Who's he?"
