So first we ban the trolls. Then what? Then we ban people who use foul language, maybe. Then ban the folks who argue in the RWED threads. Then ban everybody whose political views don't agree with the moderator's. I mean, where do you stop with the banning? Person's got a right to be an asshole. But that doesn't mean I need to pay him/her any mind. Any hopefully, if enough people do that, they'll find another thread to drag their psychoses around in.

I think that these are pretty different things. I mean, you can write thoughtful, relevent post and still use foul language. But you can't write thoughtful, relevent posts and still be a troll. Good posts are what we're aiming for. Good posts and trollishness are mutually exclusive behaviors.

Although, probably I'm only saying this because this is the first such post of yours I've read. I'm guessing that, had I read more, I wouldn't have the same appreciation.
