i've always loved the pic so i jumped at the chance to use it the cropping and text were done in GIMP (i know it sounds weird but it's a cool, and most importantly free photoshop program found here: http://www.gimp.org/)

I like the idea of the gaslight, but will it appeal to anybody outside the verse? Again, I think the home idea is powerful, but what makes that picture anything other than a dimly lit kitchen table...but maybe that is the power of it...

I think the undertones of family and safe haven appeal to a lot of folks who see Firefly. I think it's a very powerful draw to folks who live our fast paced.. everybody scattered lifestyle.
That being said we still need banners that speak to folks who have no idea what we're talking about when we say Firefly. And I'm having trouble coming up with ideas just as much as the rest of you.
space pirates and honor among theives are the only catch phrases I've been able to come up with.

Wow--Arcadia, I loved your avas! I love the idea of having little avatars like that...like for each episode. Little snippets of each episode to wet non-coats thirsts! They were fun to read too :)
