I haven't figured out how to get to the commentaries on my Firefly DVD set. I can watch the episodes perfectly, but I don't know how to get to the commentaries.

If anyone can offer any help please let me know.

Go to languages, select commentary, and then select play or resume.

The commentaries are nearly as hilarious as the show:)

Look under "Languages" in the main menu.

...I know. We don't get it either, but that's where they are.

Not in my experience.

"Languages" is a menu for subtitles and voiceovers in other languages, but not for audio commentary. That's usually under the "special features" menu.

Really? Odd. Vast majority I've had had them in languages. The X-men DVD's, for example, are in the language section (also a FOX product, so maybe FOX DVD's have them in language section?).

If I'm ever in a bad mood, I just listen to the commentary on "War Stories". Nathan & Alan kill me every damn time!

I noticed something in the commentary on Shindig. The costume designer (whose name currently escapes me) says that the leather thong that Zoe wears around her neck is symbolic of her marriage vows to Wash, and that she never takes it off. Inconsistency in this idea: in Out of Gas, Zoe is wearing the leather thong, and they hadn't even met Wash yet. And was wearing it when they showed Zoe and Mal's first meeting with Wash. This would mean that it doesn't symbolize any kind of committment to Wash, since she hadn't met him yet.

Also, Zoe is shown NOT wearing it when they show her and Wash in bed together (Shindig and Objects in Space). This would indicate that Zoe does indeed take it off, at least to sleep.

Seems to me that it would be more accurate to say that the leather thong is just one of Zoe's favorite pieces of "jewelry" or that it symbolizes something else to her. So why would the costume designer (who should know different) say something so obviously wrong?

Thanks Zachsmind! This is the first DVD I've run across that has the commentary there. (Well, at least a commentary I was interested in listening to).
