Bloody, graphic and all mature, from what I saw. Didn't see the 1st few minutes, but I caught on to the story.
On another note, what's w/ all the Vampire stuff tonight? Spike premiers w/ Blade, SciFi had a cheesy Vamp movie - Goodnight Kiss, or some such, and The Lost Boys is on Bravo. Seems to me I recall a very well made show or 2 that had something to do w/ vamppires.....hmmm.
People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

I like the Blade movies but don't have cable. If anyone sees the series I'd also be curious to hear if it's any good.

I actually like the Blade tv show. It has exceeded my expectations. Graphic and bloody. The acting is also better than I anticipated.

Yah, it's not too bad.
I've seen much worse adaptations of movies to TV shows, that's for SURE.
The pilot episode makes a few small refrences to things that happend in the movies but doesn't much go into any detail. Just enough to provide a bit of timeline as to how the new/current assistant came to work for blade. Then it heads of into the whole new plotline and set of enemies for season one.
In broad strokes, it almost reminds me of how the old "WiseGuy" TV series shifted from one set of badguys to the next between seasons. It had a similar feel to me anyway.
We'll see how it goes.

I watched the first two episodes. I enjoyed it. Its good for a summer series, and I'll stick with it. I didn't anticipate the woman becoming a vampire...Ithought she would be like a season long sidekick, but this is an interesting twist.
I'll give it a thumbs up.
