PR: These look great, keep it up! I posted on the other board some thoughts about them in relation to a campaign. I really like your creativity - I wish I had some of it :)

One preliminary thought. Do you all think its worthwhile to try to get some uniformity to all of our banners? I mean, you always hear how important logos are because people will see it enough and wonder what it is. So, should we try to have one standard element or theme to them all? Im not sure what I think, but I believe we should at least answer the question before we go to much farther. One theme could be the website they are directed to, or it could be the word Serenity, or something else...
Some ideas for banners:
1. "Cows in a Spaceship?" (Show a picture of the scene where the cows are in Serenity).
- THis one might be lacking a little in understandability, but its strength is its oddness. Might get people to think.
2. "Grass Roots organinzing - not always political. We aim to find Serenity"
- I like this because the words "Grass roots" will resonate with many people. Also shows we arent a large company.
3. "Serenity: We love it, you will to"
- Picture of the ship
4. "25,000 fans (or whatever we can estimate) want you to come home and find Serenity."
- Sort of makes you feel all warm inside. Now all we need of Followmal with some brown coats for all the newbies.
5. "Serenity: a love story of a ship, 9 people, and 25,000 fans - join the family."
- Any moving picture would work...
6. "Have you ever seen a advertisement paid by fans before? We hadnt either - until now. Come find Serenity."
- I dont know the picture, but this is my favorite so far.
7. "Ready for more than reality TV? Join 25,000 others and find Serenity"
- Not sure on the picture.
8. "We are fans, we love our show, and we want to share it with you - come find Serenity."
- I like this one also. MAybe another pic of the ship?
Now that I have tried to come up with some banners, I am seeing it is hard to try to express the love of fans and a grass roots movements in just a few words. I think the banners will have to be eye-catching and not necessarily contain the message I had hoped. The website they direct people to will have to do that. WE can try, but I think the website will have to do the majority of the work convincing people to watch it. IT will need to be good.
Thats it for now, I will try to find more later. Feel free to change them if you have better ideas.

Would it be bad to start a thread on this in the General discussion board? There is little traffic here and these seem like ideas that need peoples feedback. We could just copy and paste some of this over there, or link here.

Not bad at all, jtskier1200, just keep in mind that the banners we're doing now are for fun and for reaching out to people who have never heard of Firefly/Serenity... all of your ideas are good ones, by the way.
A logo is being created by 11th Hour, officially for the site, at the behest of Haken.. so we won't need a logo from someone else and we can always incorporate it or switch to what is official when we get it.

Ok, so what kind of slogan/quote/whatever would go best with Mal's "Bwah" shot from Heart of Gold? I'm drawing a blank for the first time here.
