Grow up in the sense of get older, that is. I ain't ever gonna be mature...

S'pose it was the Toy Story thread started this in the unstable grab-bag that is my mind, (cowboys and astronauts), but...is anyone out there doing exactly what they always wanted to do? Or are they lookin' around and thinking, 'what the rutting hell happened?'

I'm still in the "growing up" stage.

Graduated from University, couldn't find any work in Ottawa ('cause I'm not interested in business or politics, which are the only two industries there), so I ended up back home in the ass-end of nowhere.

So, I've started my quest, sending out scripts to all and sundry. I've given myself five years to at least get my foot in the door. I am not gonna be one of those 30-year-old small-townies working a dead-end job and never having accomplished anything.

When I grow up, I wanna be Joss.

Hmm. Let's just say I'm the same age as Mal, and my career ain't goin' anyplace soon. The Blue Sun Room is letting me do what I always wanted to do, which is write. The rest of my life gets in the way.

I never tried scriptwriting, as such. I'm writing a book, ( or I was, until Jayne started living in my head - now everything else is too scared to stay in there with him.)

I'm also still in the growing up stage. I'm 14 years old and going into 9th grade now. I wanted to be a Vet when I was 3, and I still hold to that. I want to treat wild animals, like zoo animals, not pets. And I'd also like to be a Wildilife Rehabiliatator someday, but they're not payed, so it would be in my free time. But whatever I wind up doing when I grow up, it's going to be related to animals.

For money I'm an administrative assistant at a bank but I'm my happiest when I'm researching something.

I love to prowl the internet, libraries etc. and I'm in heaven when my boss sends me to the Register of Deeds office for a copy of a deed etc. Just love looking through all those musty books that tell the history of this area.
