Yes I know about the Trilateral commission and the Carlyle Group, thats part of it. but its alot more extensive then that. There are many secret socities or branches and off-shoots that all have there histories and rituals that go back since ancient times. It doesn't matter what country or culture they are apart of either.

All rich people are not part of the elite nor do all belong to secret socities, so no that is not the glue that holds them together, but there is a network of old money familes crossing all cultral lines that makeup the core group of people and institutions who really have the power, you don't really seem to be interested in this subject so I won't continue to bore you with this topic, but if you were all I could tell you is to do your research.

Just a couple of comments: At the same time that groups coordinate their activities and "game" the system, they also compete with each other. Halliburton makes tons o'bucks in times of war, but Nike- not so much. It's a mistake to think that all coporations have identical interests.
Also, at some point in back history the old "secret societies" were cut down by the sheer fact that the nature of wealth changed from land (under feudalism) to money (under capitalism). There were many noble families that wound up trying to marry into the "new money" (merchants and "shopkeepers") because their wealth meant nothing in the new economy. So similarly I think it's a mistake to try and trace the new secret societies back to fuedal times.
