I have been asked to encourage some of our more creative members here to put their imaginations to work on some "Summer of Serenity" banners to help spread the word.

We need to discuss within this thread whether or not they'd be flash, static, or animated (or a mixture) and also what size they'd need to be. A size that was suggested was 480 X 100 pixels.

Was I really mentioned by name? You don't have to say that to convince me to help out, you know!
Well, my banners would have to be static as I don't have the programs to animate. Or the mad skills, at this point in time. But I'd be happy to do some static ones. I'll have to think about it when I'm less fuzzy and tired.

Hmmmm, I'm working on one but the size isn't cooperating. I'll post it when it's done and folk can lemme know what they think.
Anything in particular these should say?
I'm also a little agravated that I don't have the papyrus font in my PhotoShop; gorrammit!

Pheonixrose, I really like your second banner. The Serenity looked beautiful in it. My only suggestion is that you use the Papyrus font for it so it can make the banner look even more Fireflyesque. When I make my Firefly site I will be sure to use that banner on almost every single page.
