More fan involvment needed now.

We need to re-double our efforts right away. Here are some additional recommendations:

Signing up for the Hollywood Stock Exchange [ www.hsx.com ] and buying Firefly "stock" so that the price and volume go up (sounds crazy but it is one of the indicators execs check). We don’t want to stuff the “ballot box” per se, but having the fans experience HSX in exchange for helping the cause is a fair trade in my opinion.

Going to http://www.universalstudios.com/homepage/html/contact_us/ and asking when the movie is coming out OR when is the official site going up OR when are they going to re-run the Fox series on the SciFi Network (corporate synergy never hurts!).

Thank you notes to Firefly movie champion Mary Parent (President, Production @ Universal) and her boss Stacy Snider (the Chairwoman of Universal) for recognizing what a great property Firefly is and how happy you’ll be to see Serenity on the big screen (and T-shirts, and action figures, etc.)

Incidentally, the HSX thing has free registration, and you get something like $1,000,000 virtual dollars to start with to buy movie 'stocks'. In other words, it costs you nothing to do it and if it has even a slight chance of helping out Firefly, why not?

"Thank you for your note in support of the Firefly Movie."

Am I jumping the gun to think that this means Universal is actually GOING to make the movie, and just hasn't announced it yet??? (Please?!?!?!?!?)

Done and done twice. I had already emailed Universal about Firefly last week. Haven't received any responses yet though.

Oh and BTW I told them SaintJayne sent me.

one thing about hsx.com you can't buy and buy and buy. you can only buy a certain # of shares per account. If you have multiple accounts and keep buying firefly and they see it rise tremendously with "no new news" they will get suspicious possibly check the multiple accouns and them poof the stock could be "halted" because of market manipulation and not go up anymore..
But there is news...
Post to hsx movie news board about the info that universal is close to greenlighting firefly.. (make sure no one mentiones the idea of buying and buying market manipulation so we don;t halt it)

Write to the trades(an hsx fan site) about writing an article about firefly. If enough of people write them they will probably post a new story and write to all the other fans sites listd on hsx. One things traders do is read news and I don't want us to be caught market manipulating but traders will listen to news that the fan sites give and since these guys are fans of films in general they may help us without us needing manipulation.

the non-creative things to me sound like it's a budget thing. firefly is set at a little under 20bucks now so that means traders believe it will only make less then 20mil in a month. If the budget for the film is more then that that is probably why universal may still be gunshy..

I would say post on yahoo message boards. every single movie that comes out has it's own yahoo message board attached. Just go to yahoo movies and youwill se the link on the left whn you choose a film(especially if you see the film is a universal film:hint hint)Talk about how you are looking forward to firefly. So say it's a romance comedy film youare looking at. say God this sounds good but not as funny as firefly will be when it omes out.. or this is romantic but it won't hold a candle to inara and Mal in the firefly movie coming out.. or hey I heard the action scenes in the firefly movie are amazing.. Trust me Universal and market shills all the time post to the Yahoo movie boards I've seen it so they will see it if you post there.Post daily and often for all the new movies coming out
