DAMMIT, it was on today and I totally missed it. I had planned to watch it dammit. Can anyone tell me was it good? Did I miss much? Or would I have wasted my time? Damn, like Lost I'll be completely lost without character introduction. I'll have to wait for it to repeat.

Thank-you for the info Zoid. I completely forgot to record the gorram thing. Hopefully someone will let us know how it was.

I saw the first half but then my friend (whom I'm staying with at the moment) wanted to watch something else.
It has a cool sound and look. I like the guy playing Blade and I like his new, Asian sidekick. The girl needs to be written a little smarter, I think, but then I'm a Buffy fan and not used to the whole "damsel in distress" schtick.
I didn't care for the bad guy set up in this pilot - he didn't give me the willies like a good bad guy should.
Overall, I'd be willing to watch a few more eps and give the writers a chance to really get their groove on.

Does it work well without the swearing? It's one of things I think about when I think of Blade (since it was a movie) and wonder how they get around it. That's what turned me off at first from watching it, till I saw the commercials.
And what about gore? Do they do it justice? I'm not squemish if it's done right.

It was interesting. Not sure I am on board with the new Blade. Wesley Snipes is a hard act to follow in that role. I was impressed with the fact that it felt like a Blade movie. All the right sountrack, camera movement, etc. They also make you understand that this is after the last movie, they mention Summerfield and the inhaler.
My one complaint is a spoiler so I won't mention it.
I think it is worthy of another look when the next episode comes on.

Meh. All vampire shows/movies are doomed to be compared to Buffy and Angel. I'll give it a few eps, but this is no Angel.
