There are a few-very few-decent shades of maroon. My brother has a sweater that is very nice. But the rest of them should be outlawed for the good of mankind.

Ok, so would someone smarter than me be kind enough to tell me:

Let's see.........

Maroon: Maroon is a color mixture composed of brown and purple. Although conceptually a color mixture, it can be regarded as a dark (and possibly also desaturated) shade of red. Derived from French marron ("chestnut"), it didn't become a color-word in English until ca. 1791

Burgundy: Burgundy is a shade of dark red associated with the Burgundy wine of the same name, which in turn is named after the Burgundy region of France. The color Burgundy is similar to other shades of red such as maroon.

But I have never seen these streets so fresh Washed with morning rain
I have seen this face a thousand times Every morning of my life
But I never saw these eyes so clear Free of doubt and pain
Like the whole world has been made again."

I can never choose a favorite colour. I say green, but then feel bad about leaving out all the other colours.
