In which we enjoyed a nice quiet, pleasant, uneventful trip through the Black towards Londinium enjoying good food, good friends, and the brand new top deck sauna, pool and hot tub......

OH! SORRY! WRONG SHIP!!!!!!!!!!
I MEANT to say: IN WHICH:
A simple stop at Fueling Station 45 resulted in Wolf beheading a street-thief, and a consequential run from the authorities, during which Ertia and Zoe got the ship reregistered and fetched the shuttle.

THEN Orphan, an old acquaintance of 13s, showed up with a bunch of mercenaries and a katana and went all "There Can Be Only ONE" all over 13s ass. Fortunately, 13 won, but got spliced like a ... a... (analogies fail me) - Got cut in half. Ertia played the hero of the day and actually shot a BAD GUY and no crew members for a change.

There was blood, and guts, and mayhem, and a mutant pet-freak thing that I wrote a great post about but which was lost when the board went down last night. Oh, and paprika chicken and rice.

OH! And Inara kissed JR. Or he kissed her. It gets kinda fuzzy- but it was pretty hot!

That about cover it?

*Pain said to Ertia, feeling the effects of sleep tugging at him*

Now me on the other hand. I prefer a retirement spent with the person I love, who i'd be sexin' every chance I got.

*Ertia smiled as she put away the device, settled into Pain's arms and said*

Mmmm that sounds a lot more fun.

*Ertia rested her head on Pain's chest, his breathing lulling her to sleep. Pain smiled at the sight of Ertia all naked and in his bed with him before closing his eyes, letting sleep overtake him.*

"As I live and breathe, what's going on here?", Mal says. Inara lowers her hands from JR chest, and JR steps back from Inara. Mal's eyes burn into JR. Neither Inara nor JR had ever seen Mal with this look on his face. Rage, betrayal, all seemed to be seething behind the Captain's eyes. "Either one of you wanna talk before this crew is minus one?", Mal says. Inara says, "Mal, I invited him here. What happened was a mistake and I should not have let it happen." JR says, "Cap'n, I apologize. I take full responsibility. Believe me, it won't happen again." Mal is still looking at JR, walking up to him until he's only a few inches from his face. "So, you apologize to me and not her, huh? There's only one thing to do..." Mal's hand reaches for his pistol. "MAL, NO!'' Inara screams. JR reaches for his Glock. "Cap'n!" But Mal's hand slides past the weapon and goes to the holster's buckle. He unfastens the belt, and the holster slides off his thigh to the floor. "We're gonna decide this like men, you and me," he says to JR. Inara's look on her face goes from horror to curious. "What? YOU are going to fight for ME?", she says. JR is dumbfounded. "Cap'n?? Uh, Cap'n, you're not yourself. C'mon Cap'n, I am NOT gonna fight you! You're, well, you're the CAPTAIN!" Mal says, "All this time, you've been harboring feelings for her. And now, you finally get her alone in her shuttle..." Inara rolls her eyes and says with an exasperated look on her face, "Mal, I thought it was YOUR shuttle!" "Stay out of this Inara," Mal says. "This is between me and him." JR says, "Look, uh, Mal, this was all a mistake. I should not have come here, and I should not have kissed Inara. But if it'll make you happy, you can take a swing at me." JR places his hands behind his back, "Here," he offers his jaw. "Go ahead, I deserve it. But only one swing, and I won't swing back." Suddenly, the rage in Mal's face is gone, but not the betrayal. But replacing the rage is curiosity. "What? I ain't gonna fight a defenseless man!" "Mal, please, let's just calm down," Inara says reaching for Mal's arm, and when she touches him, he relaxes. The tension leaves the air. JR quickly has a look of relief on his face. Inara says, "JR, perhaps you should leave now. I'll talk to Mal now." She says it with her eyes begging JR. "OK, I'll go back to my bunk. Cap'n, again, I'm sorry," and JR turns to leave the shuttle, wiping some beads of sweat from his forehead.

Everyone dies alone.

wolf" he was threatend, he seemed to think you were "his girl" or somthin'."

kaylee" hrumph."

*kaylee sat down next to wolf on his bed and rested herself on his shoulder.*

kaylee" wats happening to the crew? everyones fighting, the only people wh arnet are pain and ertia, and they dont waste time talking."

wolf" aww, come here!"

*wolf hugged her and they lay down, just enjoying the comfort of each others arms while relaxing in the darkness.*

Ummmmmmm....
We all have different writing styles in here and that's okay.
Relax.

Ertia stretches luxuriously. Her internal clock is still messed up from being ill. She gives Pain's forehead a light kiss, careful not to wake him, and slips from his arms.

She dresses and heads for the galley. Somehow, she's hungry again! Not used to so much excercise, she decides, smiling smugly to herself.

a good rule of thumb is: when ever someone new is speaking, or the topic changes, from say "flying a kite" to "chasing the escaped kite" the topics are related but still different. And take care of the kitten
