Malcom Reynolds and Big Huckin' Chicken team up to fight The Burger King and Mayor McCheese who are mindlessly following orders from the bewitchingly beautiful Saffron. As if this wasn't bad enough, out of nowhere, the Hamburgaler really ups the stakes as he shows Saffron that he would steal the sky for her when he carjacks Serenity and takes it through Reaver territory with Ronald McDonald as a hood ornament. Will this deadly love triangle prove to much for our heros or will they be eating (like) kings, riding high on Serenity and making Saffron part of their "Big Buckin McMalcom Saffron Sandwich"?

Lots of guns, motorcycles, explosions and enough "special" sauce to get all yer juices flowin'. Might want to put the kids to bed before watching this one.

I'd also like to read that one too! I used to like Sliders (before it slid!)

I'm toying with the idea of a Quantum Leap crossover - also ideal for such situations (with some minor tweaking)

I have actually read an interesting if not totally convincing Harry Potter Firefly crossover! I would have approached it a difernt way. There's that interesting Veil into who knows where that could be explored.

Most crossover plot devices are a bit cliched, the alternate/ parellel universes, the magical portals, devine interventions etc.
Still, even an idea that you've seen before, it treated with imagination and enthusiasm can be very entertaining and bring in original elements.

Whilst some crossover does make me cringe (as much as I want to introduce much loved characters to each other I do feel need at least some explanation to be able to suspend my disbelief. It annoys me when someone tries to leap straight in to a mixed storyline, as a fait accomplis, seems lazy to me) I am a hopeless addict as I have found some increadibly imaginative stuff in this genre. I do love to try to think up ideas for how to make the most unlikely crossovers work (but I don't always write them!).

I want suggestions for crazy crosses for my brain to mull over! Come on, which insane half-breeds should never see the light of day! I want to put on my mad scientists coat and create some hidiously enjoyable mutation!

The Sliders crossover story I wrote was years and years ago. It was actually a friend of mine who suggested it; she wanted to see Sliders in the Hitchhikers Guide universe for some strange reason. It was very odd. I don't know that I even have it anymore Sorry!
I wish Sliders hadn't died. Didn't that also run on Fox? Damn! (I know it came back, but it was never the same!)

Yeah, Sliders ran on Fox first. It was yet another great show that we can blame it's premature death on Fox.... along with Firefly, Arrested Development, Family Guy (twice), and Roar!.... anybody remember that one? Roar was a great show, although it was never wrapped up with a movie that tied up the lose ends.

Never saw Roar, no. Let's not forget Dark Angel; I only saw a bit of it, but it looked pretty good, and then it was just gone. I'm sure there are many I'm not remembering.
Did they cancel Family Guy a second time? Bastards!

This is a novel idea! (No pun intended.)

I'm currently tackling a Doctor Who/Firefly crossover. Essentially, it's Doctor Who-centric. The Doctor (David Tennant) and Rose (Billie Piper) find themselves in the Firefly universe, and get themselves into a bit of a pickle.

The premise of Who and Firefly are subtley weaved into the narrative. So Doctor Who fans will be able to understand the the world of Firefly and vice versa. (If they have never watched it.)

I think this is an ideal method of 'spreading the signal'. Originally, I was just going to submit this story to the fan fic archive here, but I'd be happy to use it for a good cause.

I'm trying to think up a way to fit my two favorite Captains in one story but why would Jack Sparrow be in space. Will take some thinking about!

I did have a dream last night where they met House's distant descendant! Was pretty convincing in my unconcious state actually!
