"The Elephant Love Melody" from Moulin Rouge reminds me of Mal/Inara and "Accidently in Love" for all the couples on Serenity. There's a lot more I have on a CD but I can't think of them off the top of my head...

Gotta go with the chorus of Satisfaction, by the Stones, for Mal to Inara: "I can't get no satisfaction..."
Just downloaded Mindy Smith, "Come to Jesus." I'm not so much a fuzzy wuzzy, as Mal would say, but the song fits and is beautiful to boot.
And i think anything ABBA would be good for Kaylee. They're just so...damn...happy.

Anything by Nickle Creek. They have a sort of blue grass merged with alternative rock feel. All and all, a very cool band.
One song that especially reminds me of firefly is "Pasures New". It's an instrumental song that has a bit of a mounrful feel to it. Just the spirit of the song with you here is, juxtaposed with the title the way it is -- very, very firefly.

Not Firefly so much as being a fan of Firefly, but I just heard the Smothers Brothers version of the following (their version is hilarious but the real lyrics are what remind me of being a fan):
