I think I can block addresses, but considering he wrote to me with a new one in the first place I don't think it would stop him if he really wanted to ruin my day.

PR, you can block addresses. It is a very effective tool. He can get around it by changing his email address, but is he that obsessed/annoying? Or, write back to him and tell him you would prefer not to correspond with him. Or, shoot him...politely.

I have no idea what he did if it was just your breakup or if there was a hell of a lot more or even something else entirely, but if you think he doesn't know then tell him what he did to piss you off so much. Its the only way I see to work towards some kind of closure.

You said, "he doesn't seem to even know what it is he needs to apologize for," so just tell the bastard. It doesn't matter how obvious it is, if he's not getting it then leaving him there failing to understand isn't going to end it, which means no closure.

That's kind of the direction I'm leaning in, too, Chris. I'll spare you the perhaps boring details because there are a lot of them and I don't have the energy right now to tell the whole story. It was sort of just our breakup, but it's mostly the way he handled everything. He handled it very badly, even though I gave him chances to backpeddle and not fuck up quite so much. Rarg!
