Y'all must have seen the ads, what do you think?

I vote: it'll be way better than Superman 3, but not quite as good as 1 or 2.

And hopin' I'm wrong Chrisisall, with the cape and such

Chris, ANYTHING is better than 3.

(and let us never mention 4)

But aside from Lois and Lex, things look ok.

If I'm a bitch, then life just got interesting

Well I'm not a Superfan(Superman fan) anyway, so I guess my opinion, and this post, are pretty useless.

if the critics have anything to say about it, it will fly.. as good or better than spiderman

"And I think calling him that is an insult to the psychotic lowlife community."

I think it'll be a huge success given the recent trends.

It also helps that they've got a Chris Reeve look alike!

Now HE was Superman!

Never been the biggest fan of the DC Comics myself, but I think this movie is gonna rock. With Bryan Singer directing, I think he could pull out a big, if not the biggest, blockbuster of the summer. I think I'm gonna try to see a screening of it in that IMAX 3D thing. Now that'll rock.

Keep flyin'.

It's funny, the internet hype has been almost relentlessly negative against it but the critical acclaim after the first screening suggests we have a real contender here.

Well, I think it'll be worth it, if only for Spacey's Lex.

No one can ever replace Reeve *snif* Chrisisall

I'm really hoping it's awesome
I wasn't one of those fans that were in an uproar about the changes to the suit (get over it already), but that's not to say I'm backing it no matter what
I loved the teaser trailer but the actual trailer got me worried slightly. Lois and son are kidnapped by Lex Luthor. I kinda just rolled my eyes at that - yes you've got to put the characters in peril, I just hope it's not going to be cliche after cliche
Also, not sure about Spacey as Lex.
He's a great actor, and the worry is nothing to do with his capabilities, but what the take on the character is going to be like.
My favourite on-screen Lex is Smallville's Michel Rosenbaum.
I didn't like the way the character was in the Reeve movies, played by Gene Hackman, because he just seemed like a fool, surrounding himself with buffoons - hardly seemed like the criminal mastermind, and complex character he should be.
I know it was played for laughs, but I thought it made him less appealing as a character.
I just hope Spacey's is more Smallville Lex and not so much Hackman's

That being said, it is being done by Bryan Singer and I think, after making two great X-men movies, he is certainly capable of making a worthy Superman flick

Uhhhh...
One great and one okay; X2 was really hard to watch in spots. Wolverine knocked out by a .22 to the skull??? I would have ricochetted off and left a fast-healing scratch!!! Pyro=Firestarter, X-jet=Firefox, fights=Matrix Reloaded, Professor X ed up AGAIN!!!...
I was a little insulted.
The first one was a little more original...
