And another week is here.
Did 1 set plus some more upper body stuff. And then about 1 1/2 hrs roller-blading.
New comers, or people thinking of joining, can check out the below thread to get a description of what is going on here.

Hi everyone! Glad to see the site is back up again.
I was bad over the weekend. Lots of crappy food and no exercising
But yesterday and today I've been packing my apartment and have worked up a sweat both days. Also, I've been eating a lot healthier.
But, I'm kinda disappointed in my progress. As I've been packing, I keep finding pics of myself from a few years ago when I weighed 115 pounds. Right now I weigh 135. I know for a 5'6" girl 135 isn't much, but I just miss my washboard abs (that I had with zero work put on them) and thin arms and thighs. I know part of it is my age: I'm 27 and I guess I'm finally becoming a "woman." But I'm still not completely happy with my curves. In the past 2 months that I've been working out with you guys, I've only lost 1 inch around my waist and 1 inch around my hips. I dunno what I need to do differenty. I try to mix cardio with weight training and pilates, but I guess it's not enough anymore. I still have belly fat over the muscles I've built up in my abs, and that's no fun.
So I guess what I'm saying is, I need some inspiration and positive talk. Help me get excited about exercising again, please!

Sunday night I went swimming in the lake after work. Yesterday I ran errands, worked, and went swimming in the lake after work again. Today I went to the gym and burned 487 calories on the elliptical. I've been doing some packing.
Belly fat is hard stuff to get rid off. I don't have any tips to offer because I mostly gain weight in my hips/upper thighs, but increasing your cardio workouts should help with fat burnage.

We all need to indulge from time to time. Just as long as it's not the norm, eh

Comes with age I'm afraid. I know b/c I'm a whopping 2 years older than you. So, I'm ahead of the curve

Seriously though, doing things the healthy good way takes more time than the quick unhealthy way (not to mention the sicky feelings). The plus for the healthy way is that everything stays off

I know it's hard to wait for things to happen in this instant gratification world we live in, but it's how the body works *sigh*
So, what you gotta look for is if progress is being made. You know that progress has been made, and no insignificant progress at that! So, pat yourself on the back, you've definitely done good

The only thing that I can recommend is changing things up regular. From what I remember reading, the body gets used to stuff if it is the same thing over and over. So, adding in a little something and taking a little something out on some sort of regular basis would help. Maybe it'll just keep things more interesting, but it certainly wouldn't hurt at any rate

Don't if that was inspirational, but it's the best I got right now - extremely tired and I'm a guy (not exactly known for our warm fuzzy feelings
).So, chin up, keep up the exercise and healthy eating, and it will come. And we'll be right here if you need up

Darn the stupid internet! A few days ago I had such an awesome and inspirational post all typed up and ready to go for kelly and it wouldn't post and then it disappeared. Then I tried to post saying that it disappeared and that disappeared.
Anyway...to sum up my previous non-post- I had to drastically change my diet to get any results as far as weight loss goes. All the exercise has been great- my legs have never looked better- but to shed the pounds I had to make some major changes. But trust me when I say that if I can lose weight, ANYONE can!! I have no metabolism- not even kidding. I joke with my mom that I can eat a grape and gain five pounds- basically it's just really really hard for me to lose weight so if I can jump start my metabolism and lose weight, anyone can, I promise! Plus, some things just take longer than others. It could be awhile before you see results, but you will see some! Oh, and I think someone already said to increase your cardio, and I second that.
As far as my week goes, I haven't done much other than sit-ups, squats, etc. It has been a crazy week and I haven't had time to get to the gym and it's too hot to walk outside. I'm planning on going to the gym tomorrow but we'll see.

I've been working out all week. Don't know if I'll be able to tonight, but I've been running a pile of errands, packing, and may even start moving stuff to my storage facility. Then tomorrow I'm moving more crap and scuba diving. Sunday is set aside for moving miscellaneous remaining crap and going to work.
Then it's off for 2 months of being a bum!

just got back in from finishing out the week of riding ended with 262 miles on the road bike some good hard rides i am scaling back some this coming week because i have some races next weekend and i want to be fresh.
the days are getting HOT but don't let it stop you just make sure and keep drinking and get plenty of electrolytes. it is recommended when working out to drink 20 ounces of fluid per hour. if you are sweating alot a decent amount of salt in your diet isn't a bad thing either.
if you start to feel like you are overheating though be careful and scale back some. heat stroke isn't hard to get. working out in the early morning or later in the evening is best.
