I am no longer a BDM 'virgin' (ooooh that sounds weird) I watched it last night with my best friend whom I have also introduced to the Firefly 'Verse! We were on the edge of our seats and both devastated and hopeful at the end! She's not yet a fully integrated 'browncoat' (doesn't have internet access) but she'll be joining me in Melbourne on 23rd to see it on big screen - 1st time!
Hope we don't cry too much!!!!!
Add Natalia to that list!

Yikes, I'm bringing my SEVEN year old! What kind of parent does that make me?
(I cover his eyes for some of the scenes, though!)

Mal:We're still flying.
Simon: That's not much.
Mal: It's enough.

JerryT -
Maybe I'll see you at the Tucson screening (Already have my tickets!). I'm sure it will be worth braving the theater for you! Are you planning on attending the pre-screening shindig at Bookman's also? (I'm so there!
)
I saw Serenity in the theater 8 times, but am really looking forward to seeing it for the first time with other browncoats. And I'm dragging as many of my converts with me as I can
I get chills when I think of seeing the first scene with the ship in a theater full of diehard fans. Should be a memorable experience!

Would your parents let you come with us? I am a nanny in another life, and used to be a youth group leader at our church so I am kind of a responsible type of person? Have you seen the film before?
Think on it - Magdalene x x x

Wow, me and a group of other 17 year olds are going, no complaints from parents. But I've made it clear to them that anything Firefly/Serenity is a big deal - hell, I convinced them to let me fly down to Wellington for 3 days by myself just to see Jewel Staite. Lay down the law, man... "Here's how it is..."
One of that 17y/o group is my first Browncoat convert that I lent the Firefly DVD set to. He hasn't seen Serenity at all, let alone on the big screen. We were gonna watch the DVD that day anyway...then the screening for our reigon came along. Much better.
