As of this morning, we've only sold 30 tickets. We've still got a ways to go. Anybody else out there still waiting to get one?
I saw a post that Atlanta raised $800 in 48 hours to pay for their venue. How cool is that?

Keep your eyes peeled next week for a mention in the Charlotte Observer. Lawrence Toppman, movie critic, loved the movie last year and is going to mention our event in his column sometime next week. We sure can't beat publicity like that.

Charlotte now has a ticket outlet for anyone who doesn't want to use Paypal. Tickets are available at:

Its in the Park Road Shopping Center (the same parking lot as the movie theater) at the corner of Woodlawn & Park Rd. Just like any ticket service, there's a service fee attached.
I sent the info to the Charlotte Observer and it's supposed to be included in our newspaper mention.

I spread the word a little at an artshow the other night, people interested in the charity aspect of the screening. Maybe we'll get som eday of sales?

There should be another write-up for the Serenity shindig coming out on Monday. J.Scott Wilson is a writer for IBSYS. He wrote the review last year, "Serenity Now", that appeared on many, many news websites. And it just so happens that he lives here in Charlotte. So he's not only writing the piece, but he's also coming to the screening.
Since he's a fan, I asked if he would say a few words to our moviegoers and draw the names for the door prizes.
Just a word of warning, though. I made the mistake of referring to him as Mr. Wilson. He said if I ever called him that again he would feed me to a Reaver. He was kidding, of course -- I think.
