This doesn't have anything to do with you are a browncoat if but I had read on an earlier post someone refer to bread as a "pop" do you mean "pop" as in the porutgueese roll? I live in MA and am Portuguese myself and that's what we refer to those little rolls as. I wasn't sure if it was just a local thing (or a cultural thing) or if that's what everyone calls them. I used the term once in a class and got some strange looks. So yeah just wondering...

Dan, I could be wrong, but I think BlackJoke was referring to dropping a can of pop, or soda, on his/her toe. Droping a muffin on a toe probably wouldn't cause someone to curse in chinese.

I actually thought it was a lolly pop or a 'popsicle' - thanks for clearing that up!
I knew I was a browncoat when I started calling all my favourite things 'Shiney' and getting excited to the point of jumping up and down in the arms of strangers (well aquaintances rather than friends) when they spun around and said "You watch Firefly!!"

It scared all the sane people there too!

... you're in a shop and someone runs a trolley over your foot. You swear quite loudly in Chinese - "ta mah duh" - same as you BlackJoke!!
Worse though - an elderly Chinese woman came up to me and said something, that I can only assume was telling me off. I was just too proud of pronouncing it right to care though.

you watch an awards show & keep expecting them to mention "Serenity"
you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that one of these days you will be sitting in a theatre watching some "movie" and then you see 9 familiar faces on the screen as you watch the trailer for the Serenity sequel.
(of course a true Browncoat will know about the trailer long before it is released, so by the time you see it in theatres you will have most likely seen it about a gazillion times. Why? Because..if you're a true Browncoat & the trailer is on line you will watch it over & over & over & over.... (you get the idea)

Amen, Interlake...my wife is the one that introduced me, and she laughs at my level of devotion now. I keep telling her "This is your fault!"...and then kiss her for doing this to me.
