Here's the thing: If she changes her mind later, the opportunity is gone. Ask to take the photo and offer to hide it until/unless she decides it's an okay idea after all. Avoids all manner of self-kicking later.
One of my friends has a grown son who's a 6/6 kid. They're making a lot of it.
