That would be so shiny! There are several spans of time wherein things happen but are not shown in the first season. For starters:

What exactly was the wobbly headed doll caper?

They supposedly headed to Beaumonde to stay for 2 weeks after OUR MRS. REYNOLDS. What happened there?

The cows were on the ship for 3 weeks between SHINDIG and SAFE. Is that all that happened for 3 weeks?

Between ARIEL, which happened in December, and TRASH, which happened in APRIL, all we got was WAR STORIES. That's a four month span.

Looking forward to the comic series. (I *really* need to read the one set between the show and the movie.) As for sequel news, well, talk is good. Talk means that someone, somewhere, is trying to make things happen. However, I personally have been burned way too many times on rumors to take anything I hear seriously until someone's actually put their name on a dotted line. Kind of a quirk of mine. Still, it's good news all around, as far as I'm concerned. :)

Well the word from Joss is that he's keeping hope, and he really wants to work with the actors but the phone isn't ringing and a sequel is doubtful.

As long as he keeps hope I'll keep faith, I don't give a damn about doubtful, unreasonable, insane, or even impossible.

We've been saying it for years, if they would make new episodes and release them straight to DVD the company will make lots of money with our numbers constantly growing and all that.

I've said this on imdb, i believe firefly will continue, based purely on its following, however, i think a series or a feature film at the moment is doubtful. I think the series will go the way of babylon 5, releasing perhaps a tv movie every couple of years, or perhaps a mini series of 4 episodes ala battlestar galactica which got that series going. In any case, i would love there to be more, but i think we'll all have to wait for atleast 2 years for joss to do wonderwoman and then possibly something might happen, especially if wonderwoman is successful(although it's not really my cup of tea). The fact is that if DVD sales are consistent (studios forecast anywhere up to 5 years now to see if a film will make a profit) for both series and film, not to mention new fans being recruited due to syndication of the show, everything should be shiny in the long run.
